The 2003 Hero’s Luncheon honoring Delbert & Carolyn McDougal was an unqualified success! Over 320 of Delbert and Carolyn’s friends and associates gathered at the UMC McInturff Conference Center on August 28, 2003 to honor and acknowledge the significant contributions that they have made to our community through their community vision and dynamic business accomplishments. Their efforts to grow a successful business have always been based on solid business principals and the highest ethical standards. During the history of the McDougal Companies, Delbert and Carolyn have set an outstanding example of giving back to their community in a very generous fashion. From donations to worthy causes to service involvement, they have led the way for all of their family and for their employees. The Delbert & Carolyn McDougal Endowment is a “donor-advised” fund from which Buckner Baptist Children’s Home was the initial recipient.
